Daniel Robert Graham, known affectionately as "Bob Graham," succumbed to natural causes on Tuesday, December 9, 2022. He was 86 years old.

Graham, a native of Coral Gables, Florida, served as the 38th governor of the state from 1979 to 1987. His tenure was marked by progressive policies and an unwavering commitment to environmental protection.

After his gubernatorial service, Graham represented Florida in the U.S. Senate for two decades, from 1987 to 2005. As chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, he played a pivotal role in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and became a vocal critic of the Iraq War.
